Foods to avoid (acne prone skin)

Acne Prone skin not only triggers our level of confidence but also impacts our behaviour making us more reserved along with inculcating negative thinking in our minds.
As dramatic as this sounds, but this is what experience speaks.

It's well said that little knowledge is dangerous and so before you choose to go on any medications and start using any abrasive chemicals on our skin make sure you are aware of the root cause to get a suitable treatment.

But regardless the cause there are some things we should avoid in order to prevent acne and to get clear skin.

What goes in shows out. So we must be careful of what we eat some food items can make our acne worse and most of the times they are even the root cause of many skin issues.

Let's get started💐

1: Dairy: If you have acne prone skin and do get acne every now and then, you are possibly allergic to some foods. The most probable item that falls into this category is milk and most of the dairy products.

As milk contains hormone known as IGF 1 which does not sit well with the human body and thus causes acne. Also, milk creates sebum thus making skin oilier than it normally is. So it's recommended to stay away from milk however, you can consume curd which is extremely beneficial and it helps to combat acne.

2: Another one in the queue is sugar and sugary processed foods. Pasta, bread, sugar, etc can cause more inflammation.
Androgen and insulin both play an important role and when you eat foods which possess high Sugar it can spike and impact the insulin levels which can make your skin inflamed and make the acne worse. So you must try consuming less sugar and instead add brown rice, green tea and berries in your diet as they are proven to help inflamed skin

3: Oily and fried food: This is a no-brainer. As such, there is no proven scientific evidence that oily food causes acne. But we do know oily food can increase the greasiness on our face which in turn can make our pores clogged and we might end up getting more acne.

Moreover, fried and oily food is anyways not good for our health. So, we must try to avoid that.
Having some delights once in a while is all good but try consuming hot lemon water after u consume fried or heavy meals to clear out your system and flush unnecessary toxins.

4:  Lastly, something which is not really a food item but u must limit if you have acne prone skin is alcohol. The main reason for this is that alcohol tends to make our skin dehydrated by hampering the production of an anti-diuretic hormone and further this results in flushing excess water from our system.

For this, you must try drinking more water (10 glasses)  and replace alcohol with some healthy smoothies and shakes.

Making sudden changes in your diet can be extremely difficult initially but once you start seeing results you would want to stick on it forever.

Stay beautiful stay young
XOXO
